  1. Why wait for the change? Help be part of the change.
  2. The sentence is neither sarcastic or ironic. South African now has one of the most progressive Renewable Energy programs in the world. http://www.engineeringnews.co.za/article/strong-support-for-sas-renewables-model-as-first-deals-are-concluded-2012-11-05
  3. "We need to be balanced in our assessment and expectations of cycling in the stable of professional sports. We need to find a solution that can allow us to move forward and trust the stories, images and athletes that come with their respective sporting codes. And as with any endemic problem, we all need to shoulder some of the burden so that we do not allow the mistakes of history to repeat themselves. Our children should not have to compromise themselves when fulfilling talent, dreams and ambition when choosing professional sport as an occupation. So please let us look past the anger and frustration, past the hypocrisy, so that one day we can again trust the sports we so dearly love. It is a time for maturity and responsibility, not mudslinging and high horses. We won’t reach a solution, we’ll merely entrench the current behaviour. Positive change is possible."

  6. Okay people of Jozi, we could organise another screening of Strength in Numbers at the Bioscope. But we would need to get 60 people there to make it a reality. What do you think?
  7. There is a second screening of Strength in Numbers in Cape Town this Friday at the Labia. Here are all the details: http://goo.gl/GOpH0

  10. We're back off the canvas with the second teaser from our doccie film on Dave George and Kevin Evans. Have a squizz: (best to let it pre-load in HD and watch full screen). If you're competing at Sani2c this week and you see us behind the lens, come say hello. Safe riding.
  11. Well spotted. That footage will feature in the film.
  12. If you're in the Western Cape this Sunday, you really should pack a lunch, dust off your bicycle or walking shoes and head to Tokai Forest for the first day of the Epic: http://www.cape-epic.com/starttimes.php. It will be a Prologue time-trial of 27km along trails most of us get to ride every weekend. I know the all the African riders would love your support. So bring a flag/vuvuzela and warm up those vocal cords for Dave, Kev, Burry, Adrian, Mannie, Brandon, Shan and all the others from our continent. Here's the spectator's guide: http://www.cape-epic.com/content.php?page_id=189&title=/Spectator_Guide/ We'll be on the mountain and at the start/finish filming. So come say hello.
  13. For the early birds, Kev and Dave will be interviewed on Expresso Morning Breakfast Show on SABC3 between 6 and 7am today.
  14. Depends on how the story unfolds this year with Epic and potentially World Marathon Champs. Will keep you posted.
  15. Don't worry, there is plenty of GoPro footage. We have to save something for the release. All our footage is shot in HD. So the plan is to bring it to big screens in RSA. Still some water that needs to flow under the bridge first....
