  1. I was on here before but for the life of me I cannot remember what my login details were...
  2. By this it sounds like "your riding" is mostly on your own. So yeah, a second or two wait until it's safe to pass you is perfectly acceptable, like I said though, on this road it was more than a few minutes at a time. The only waving I saw was a middle finger from one of the guys in the group to the irate (and rightly so) truck driver behind him. Agreed that it is a vicious circle though. What really sucks is that you can't even say that one ones being the idiots will get what's coming to them, because it that means a car hits them and kils them, then a few lives are ruined.
  3. Na, ended up taking pics of idiots who "own" the road.
  4. I was out on a shoot so had the camera handy. Also, I'm straight, so no MX5, that was an S2000. Was also trying to get pics of toit bums and very yummy legs on a few of the lady cyclists... Alas the ladies were riding properly and so we passed them too fast for pics
  5. I took the pics coz it was happening all over that road. Didin't see any groups that size in single file, not even two abreast, but at least three. I don't care too much either way, like I said I'm not out that way often, I was just lank upset that morning. Going uphill behind a group of cyclists doesn't mean you only wait a few seconds to pass, it's more like ten minutes so that the other cars held up in front of you with a truck or wto can go past.
  6. Haha, that was the point, not all are in the wrong. Also, if that'sa dedicated bike lane, who polices it? On that whole stretch we drove on (and it was some stretch, you cyclist people are insane - I'd die after 2km!) we never saw one Metro. I thought there would be considering the amount of cyclists as well as the moroebikes that are known for speeding and having no plates on, also the cars that speed there. Sad that the authorities aren't there to protect anyone, rather make money in the populated areas where accidents hardly happen.
  7. That road was very far from quiet. Waiting never killed anyone, that's true, but it may piss someone off so much that they'll chuck pins in the roads Again, I dunno but if there's an irate driver behind me hooting for me to get out the way, I'll pull over. I guess I just don't like the thought of possible impending pain?
  8. Sorry, by fatsre bikes I meant motorbikes, I should have said that properly. While I know people are guilty from both sides, if it was my ass on a pedal bike on a road like that, I'd be damn sure to be out of the way of cars or motorbikes. Being hit won't just hurt, it'll kill.
  9. Brekkie run to Magalies area. Narrow two lane road. Trucks, taxis, fast cars and faster bikes and you get these idiots. Blocking a whole lane and not giving a **** about it. Then, later, there was a section that had street signs that indicated it was a bicycle route of sorts although there's no decicated paint marking on the roads or any Metro anywhere to make sure cars don't kill people - same story, the road is theirs. I'm not here to cause any crap, I hardly ever use those roads anyway, but when I did, I was surprised I didn't see ambulances attending to any cyclists. Trust me when I say that I know all to well what a car can do to a cyclist. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/Kkrutch/1-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/Kkrutch/2-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/Kkrutch/3-1.jpg How's that for a first post here
