Starts and finishes at the Houw Hoek Hotel and the route includes the historic Katpass, Vd Stel pass, various farm, gravel and public roads. It incorporates some of the best MTB trails in Elgin and the Overberg. Stage 1 is a 45 km Wildekrans, Botriver loop that includes the historic Katpass, Vd Stel pass & Wildekrans single tracks. Stage 2 is a 50km Elgin loop, incl the Paul Cluver trails. Start & finish on both days at the iconic Houw Hoek Hotel. Go to Event Page.

Event Name: Houw Hoek TourWhen: 06/05/2023 - 07/05/2023Where: Houw Hoek Hotel, , Western CapeCategory: Mountain BikeThe Houw Hoek Tour is a weekend MTB stage event. Enjoy a weekend of scenic, fun and non-competitive riding. However, make sure that you are fit as each of the two stages are approximately 50 km; on gravel roads single tracks. The Start and Finish on both days are at the Houw Hoek Hotel. On Saturday the route runs via Botriver, Rooihoogte and the Wine Estates of Beaumont and Wildekrans. On Sunday it goes via Korteshoven, Paul Cluver and Tierkop. The Tour is 14 years old and an old favourite amongst the Cape's MTB's. Go to Event Page.
