  1. Hi all, Good news. @Titan Racing Bikes pulled through and made all the changes needed to get the bike up to spec. Very cool bunch of people that are def willing to help the customer. Buy with confidence. @Hubcap888 The bike does have settings, below is a video of what they all mean. I have only changed these at the request of their technician. However, there is a setting that deals directly with the lag issue, setting P11. In my instance, the motor was faulty and that is what was causing the sporadic cutout. They did a warranty replacement on the motor. I am enjoying my bike now. Thanks again @Titan Racing Bikes!
  2. Just to take note, the actual screen never turns off. Just the power from the motor.
  3. Bike is in today for the free service bridge cycles offers on a new bicycle purchase. Brakes are squeaking super loud when coming to a stop, maybe they are contaminated? And the chain is skipping (not sure how to explain that correctly). Hopefully that will all get sorted out. Things that are still not quite right. 1) Lag issue is still present 2) Cut out issue still happens sporadically 3) The battery bars are very up and down, can go to 3 bars, then 2 bars, then back up to 3 bars. So not very consistent or trustworthy. Just posting my updated experience so far. EDIT: just to add, one thing Carlo did mention when it first went in for the cadence sensor replacement, was that he was not very happy with the system this bike uses. Not too sure what he meant by that, but maybe future bikes will go a different route. Just a pity I will miss out on that.
  4. @Titan Racing Bikes - My brother rode the same model at cycle labs and reported the same thing. Also going by what @Hubcap888 is reporting, it seems to be within "spec". As I said, I don't think I can pay what I paid and expect more. In retrospect, I should have saved up more money and bought a different model.
  5. I mean, thanks for the advice I guess. This is more down to two things. 1) The one issue really only revealed itself after hitting the hills and is very intermittent 2) The lag issue was just me not knowing what is normal, now I know other e-bikes do not experience this, or def to not as large of an extent I was just trying to get to the bottom of it, but as I said, it looks to just be what you get at this price point.
  6. So this is the issue I am still left with yes. It is exactly that. They replaced the cadence sensor which partially fixed the stop-start on hills issue that I had, but it is still prevalent. Just not as much. I am not sure there is much more @Titan Racing Bikes can do for me.
  7. They replaced the cadence sensor for me with a newer and improved model I believe. The e-bike is ok, but I think my expectations for the price point are a bit too high. After riding other e-bikes, I think I should have saved a bit more and purchased one of those. It will do the job for now, but a lesson has been learned. This is my fault in the end. Thanks to titan racing for trying to sort it out.
  8. I am on the titan racing charge 2 which is fine for me, but she wants to splash out a bit more.
  9. Cool, then just ask as you did. 40km was our longest ride. 25km/h or so Mixed, road, gravel, single track, bike park She is maybe average fitness. No throttle needed, pedal assist only. Possibly to work and back. Must be MTB, not a road or gravel bike.
  10. I see all the clowns are out today, lol
  11. On both bikes, she could not keep up. I am now on an ebike, which has just added to it. Anyways, this should not matter. She wants an ebike, at R50k any suggestions?
  12. she wants to keep up with me, so that is non negotiable
