  1. Good morning from Italy, I'll soon be in Cape Town with my gravel bike and among other rides I'd like to have a look at the mentioned area. From maps looks like there are plenty of tracks suitable to a gravel bike, but are they really so? Thanks for your help Luca
  2. Interesting option, thanks. Don't think we can dedicate two days down to the Cape, as we have plenty of places to explore around Cape Town. Most important info is that winds shouldn't be as strong as I remember (been to Cape Point three times over the years). Grazie!
  3. Ciao Shebeen and thanks for your advice. We are doing Nova Eroica so I expect it to be a bit heavy on us. Anyway we'll see after the event what we can afford. Cheers!
  4. On Sunday, on our way back from Eroica in Montagu, we'll assess our fatigue and weather forecast for following days. Most probably on Tuesday 25. We'll start from The Deck on Beach cafe in Mille Point. I'll write on this thread day and time, once decided.
  5. Thanks everybody for your contribution, I’ll text your Uber guy. So also train from Simon’s Town is NOT recommended?
  6. Most probably on 25 or 26. Any local rider is welcome to join!
  7. Hi everybody, we are a group of 2 friends traveling to Cape Town next week to take part in Eroica South Africa on Saturday 22nd in Montagu. We’ll stay in Cape Town for some days after the event and we’d like to get to Cape Point along the west route (Chapman’s Peak etc etc): considering that strong winds are very common in the southern section and fatigue from Saturday, we think of coming back to CPT with some kind of public transport. Any advice? Thank you! Luca
