Hav been doin this a while 30 yrs in the sport and started local CT funrides a long time ago. Also find the entries to be getting out of hand. PPA used to regulate, but now appears to let organisers have carte blanche... Know of a number of peole wanting to bailon the Argus due to the ever increasing cost. As for Ironman, after my 1 eperience in 2006 I would gladly pay the entry fee again - super organization of an awesme event. The feed stations, pasta party, massages during and post race, 100% road closure fo 17hrs of event, post race party, etc, etc. Well worth it and I'm sure that more cyclists would moan if they had done an Ironman!
