I'm an out and out social rider. Did the race in 2010 in pouring rain. I know the Elte group in 2010 suffered some really hard rain along the route. They still managed 2h14. This year Kachelhoffer did 2h15 ... no rain. Guess the race were not so flat for the elites either then. I rode in J bunch. Dunno if I'm daft or what but if you managed to carry a spare tube and cartridge with you, why cant you do same with your replaced one??? Saw literally hundreds lining the roads - Siss you guys!!! I'm not even speaking of the energy goo baggies. We cyclists need to clean up our act. A tube is not nearly as degradable as a piece of banana that was dropped .... The route was definetely not flat nor fast. The start was a total joke, but potholes were really clearly marked and the marshalling was great. Saw one youngster (+/- u/18 - finishing about 13h00) crossing the finish line and showing the action photo guy a real foul finger sign .... eish - he did not organise the race and where did your manners dissapeared to young man? Doubt whether we will be doing race again next year unless some problems are seriously addressed.
