Trying to arrange a 12 hour ride where you do laps on a short course. Have invited other clubs to join. There will be prizes but it is supposed to be a fun event. I am worried that we go ahead with it and it is now an official event and we will get into trouble.

We are trying to organise a fun ride but I have been warned that it could be an official event.

It is an event but it will be classed as social. I guess about 50 riders would take part maybe more.

If one gets a group say of 50 people together and organises to ride say for 6 hours on a track is this now an organised event and does it have to be sanctioned by CSA

Has anyone here been involved in organizing a 24 race? Looking for some advice and ideas if anyone has any. We are thinking about hosting one.

on average 3 times a week

between 20 and 30 km between one and half hours to two hours and longer on weekends
