Has any thought been given to using a Linux backend or is that impossible with the forum software ?
It's actually in the pipeline. As I mentioned in my initial post' date=' we're planning to move to a new hosting provider in May. The plan is to go with a Linux based dedicated server. Up to now we've been on a Windows based shared server.
The current forum software is very much Windows based (ASP and MS SQL) so Windows hosting was the better option. However, we will be switching to a PHP / MySQL system and Linux based hosting. From 1 May I'll be focusing on this and many other improvements full time.[/quote']That sounds great.PHP / MySQL systems are far more stable than the equivalent M$ ones.
Given the traffic and volumes I would recommend looking at PostgreSQL rather.

Quite a harsh accusation. I've been back plenty and will continue to support them (and yes, I'm a lady). I have no doubt that if you discussed whatever your issue is with Alex, he'll try his best to fix the situation..

Very harsh and I really think you should speak to Alex. I go back all the time and have had their workshop save me money by telling me services I requested where not required on the bike at that time. In fact I dropped off my rear wheel I trashed at Argus off their this morning for a rebuild.

I sent the damage report and quote in yesterday morning and just spoke to the lady handling my claim. The claim will be paid out this morning!! I have been kept up to date via SMS of the progrees of the claim as well.

I use Planet X on both my road and XC bikes, as does Kurt. I think the only thing more comfortable would be a sofa. 
Best value for money in saddles on the planet.
Also have a Magicshine light, awesome value for money. Just ordered another 2 earlier this week. Hopefully they arrive before the 1st of May.

Spectrum Sport are very reliable and on the odd occasion I've had a problem, they have fixed it timeously with little more input from my side other than an email.
