Highly P****d myself with my DNF. Was doing well and feeling strong till about 54km's when an idiot on a quad bike turned out of the bush in front of me on a downhill. I couldn't see diddly for dust and with the speed I was going hit a hole or who knows what and flew into a small tree. Big enough to give me serious cuts to my neck and leave some of it's smaller bits embedded in my neck, and me bleeding like hell. Waited ages for medics and then no doctor. Another rider I'd helped with his bike earlier ended up, with his wife, taking me to hospital. After removal of sticks etc from neck and 6 stitches I was ok. So, I'm not impressed.
