does anyone know if the specsavers shirts that we have to wear for the ride and the run (if you did the cheapo entry like me) have decent pockets?

out of interest how many 5 hour + rides have you guys all done in preperation for this?

I've been trying to get these for ages and have been in contact with the SA distributor who quite frankly seems a bit useless. Currently there is no stock in any stores in KZN and it has been this way since October from what I can understand. Anyway out of desperation I ended up importing a few boxes of the gels from CRC, with shipping and taxes it worked out at about R14 a gel which is a bargain considering that those crappy gu and hammer gels can cost R16 and upwards.

Hello, I've just moved back to SA after being abroad for a few years and am living in Ballito. Currently I have been doing all my cycling on the M4 - from Ballito to SunCoast Casino and back and along the Comrades Route between Hillcrest and Maritzburg. I've also been out to Richmond a few times from Hillcrest and have gone along the old R102 from Ballito to Stanger and beyond. To anyone who knows or cycles in the area can you clue me in on a few more routes as I am starting to get a bit bored of what I have been doing and it's only been a couple of months. I've just been looking at google maps and see R614 and the R74 might be options but I'm not sure about the safety of these roads as I ride by myself. Anyway I'd love to hear about some new routes from anyone with suggestions. Cheers Cameron
