  2. @mellor - Swift Carbon frames all have a coded serial number, so you can always verify our frames with us. Our limited lifetime warranty should put your fears to bed: All SwiftCarbon Frames and Forks on SwiftCarbon models R 838 Modulus, R 830 SL Response, R 833 STRIKE, R 825 ATTACK, R 836 Dark Matter and R 837 GRITT, are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in material and/or workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner. http://www.swiftcarbon.co.za/about/warranty/
  3. You are correct that we have used shared moulds for some of our 2011 bikes as many other manufacturers (Da Rosa, Johann Museeuw, Colnago, Eddy Merckx) do but from 2012 there will be no shared moulds on any of our bikes. For now however, the key defining points that differentiate Swift Carbon are as follows : 1) Swift Purchases its own Carbon filament directly from Mitsubishi Rayon and Torayca in Japan – these are the 2 best filament producers in the World . X Pace frames are made of neither , they are standard “ Sports Grade “ Carbon purchased in Taiwan . 2) Swift Purchases its own NanoTech resins from Germany and imports them to China . X Pace frames only use a similar resin on Certain frames , and this is not the German technology we use . 3) Swift has its own engineer at the factory to oversee the Carbon Layup process within the moulds . The layup process is a very key ingredient to getting greater Carbon filament alignment which equates to greater lateral stiffness where it matters most ( BB / Head Tube ) – X Pace do not do this and they work from a generic standard layup drawing . 4) Swift utilizes a special Moulding technology in all its frames that does not use Air bags when we mould the frames . This is a key differentiator as the X Pace frames use airbags for moulding . The difference here is that we can get the walls smoother and stronger and with less de-lamination using this process . 5) We have our own QC in the factory at all point of production , X Pace , nor any other carbon factory don’t do this on their generic frames . This is to guarantee the quality . 6) Swift Carbon HQ is setup in Taiwan to ensure the best build quality and to monitor the build process from start to finish. You are also welcome to visit our new Cape Town office in Gardens to take a look at the full range of bikes.
