Hi, I bought a secondhand Tacx Cycletrack indoor trainer. The seller used a road bike on the trainer, and did not know if a MTB would work. I bought a slick tyre for the job, but when I tried to set up the bike, it seems as if this trainer is road bike specific. With the roller in the highest position there is about a centimeter space between the roller and the tyre. Am I missing something, or is this trainer only for road bikes? Please help! If it is road bike specific, it is for sale again or to swop for one that is mtb compatible.

I use the LT on my hardtail. Best money spent on cycling. Love my Thudbuster! Will never ride a hardtail again without this.
