When my son came to visit us in February, he bought the bike here in Oz and took it back with him. He is used to traveling with a bike He used to be a BMXer long ago and traveled to USA etc to ride there several times etc. When he gave up BMXing he did mountain biking which has since then progressed to road. The wheels are expensive and I would hate to pay VAT on their actual value. He is good at carting bikes around, I'm not 😂 Maybe I can fet an invoice wirh a cheap amount on and take that with me.

Hi, I am visiting South Africa in October and want to take 2 new bicycle wheels to my son. (He ordered them in Australia) question is; must I pay tax on them if they are new? Or is it OK, if they have been used? Thanks, Aver
