Hi everyone Got into cycling about a year and a half ago. First on a road bike which lead to Triathlon. I am looking to try either gravel or mountain biking in the off season next but I am not sure which of the two to go for. I am not much of an adrenaline junkie and the long grindy nature of gravel sounds appealing, but getting some mountain biking skills seems like it might open up lots of different types of races and trails. I'm leaning towards gravel, but am wondering if the steeper learning curve of MTB might be worth it. If I do go for MTB, what do you think is the best way to learn? Go for lessons or just pick a simpler trail and figure it out? Thanks for any help.
