  1. Event Name: Race2Tonteldoos- 100 MilerWhen: 12/09/2026Where: De Villa River Resort, LimpopoCategory: Mountain Bike12 September 2026 | 100 Miler Tonteldoos. A traditional Afrikaans word for a tinderbox — the small brass or copper box carried by settlers to keep their flint, steel, and tinder dry. Before matches existed, it was the only way to start a fire. You protected it with your life. Without it, there was no warmth, no light, no survival. That's where this race ends. And how you get there is entirely up to you. Race 2 Tonteldoos 100 miler  is a 160km point-to-point race from Loskop, Gauteng to Dullstroom in the Mpumalanga highlands. Almost entirely on unmarked gravel and district roads. 2,250m of climbing. A route that crosses two provinces, climbs back out through the cold Mpumalanga morning, and finishes on a highland plateau above 2,000m. From sunrise to sunset and into the night, your gravel-grinding odyssey from Loskop to Dullstroom will be life-changing. Unspoiled scenery, open gravel roads and a tough 20-km climb to the finish on already-spent legs make this race the toughest of them all. Do you dare? Entry costs: Early Bird = R1 199 (until 31 May 2025)  Normal Price = R1 450 Solo entries only. No pairs or teams. Go to Event Page.
  2. Event Name: Race2Tonteldoos UltraWhen: 12/09/2026 - 13/09/2026Where: Cullinan Rugby Club, GautengCategory: Mountain Bike12–13 September 2026 | 250km | Single stage Tonteldoos. Race 2 Tonteldoos is a 250km point-to-point overnight gravel race from Cullinan, Gauteng to Dullstroom in the Mpumalanga highlands. Almost entirely on unmarked gravel and district roads. 3,200m of climbing. A route that crosses two provinces, drops into the Loskop Dam bushveld, climbs back out through the cold Mpumalanga night, and finishes on a highland plateau above 2,000m. From sunrise to sunset and into the night, your gravel-grinding odyssey from Cullinan to Dullstroom will be life-changing. Unspoiled scenery, open gravel roads and a tough 20-km climb to the finish on already-spent legs make this race the toughest of them all. Do you dare? Cyclists have 24 hours to finish the race, and most riders can expect to finish at around midnight. The race is known for its gruelling terrain, with an elevation gain of 3200m for 24 hours. The second half is where the race reveals itself. The altitude climbs. The temperature drops. The road gets harder. And the riders who went out too hard in the first 100km start paying for it in the dark somewhere between Stoffberg and Korfnek — when the Steenkampsberg is still ahead and the legs have already given more than they thought they had. Bring the fire. Or burn out. Entry costs: Early Bird = R1 998 (until 31 May 2025)  Normal Price = R2 400 Solo entries only. No pairs or teams. 3. Event Name: 100 Miler AlzuWhen: 25/07/2026Where: Alzu Petroport N4, Middelburg, MpumalangaCategory: Mountain BikeLove this venue — right on the N4 in Mpumalanga, rhinos and buffalo in the background, gateway to the Lowveld. This is going to be a brilliant write up. Here it is: 100 MILER SERIES: ALZU 25 July 2026 | Alzu Petroport, N4, Middelburg, Mpumalanga 50 miler option available* Most race venues make you forget where you are. This one makes it impossible. The 100 Miler Series heads to Alzu Petroport on 25 July 2026 — one of the most iconic landmarks on the N4, perched on the edge of the Mpumalanga bushveld with rhino, buffalo and eland grazing just metres from the start line. This is not your average race venue. And this is not your average race. A hundred miles of Mpumalanga gravel. Farm roads and open tracks through the heart of the Lowveld — big skies, red dust, and the kind of terrain that rewards commitment and punishes hesitation. Starting and finishing at Alzu, right off the N4, it is one of the most accessible venues on the Munga calendar. Drive up, clip in, and go. The 100 Miler Series is a standalone racing series — not part of the Grit Series, but carrying every bit of the same spirit. A single distance. A single push. A hundred miles that will test everything you have and leave you wanting more. This is the missing middle. And Alzu is going to be something special. Go to Event Page.
  4. Event Name: The 100 Miler MagaliesburgWhen: 29/08/2026Where: Die Krip Landboufees, Magaliesburg, North WestCategory: Mountain BikeWe are proud to introduce The 100-Miler Series into the Munga events calendar. Ultimately, a successful race is not just about crossing the finish line, but finishing tired yet happy, already looking forward to the next challenge. 8. Event Name: Squad SeriesWhen: 23/05/2026Where: Alzu Petroport N4, Middelburg, MpumalangaCategory: Mountain BikeSquad Series isn't about individual glory. It's about something bigger: teamwork, strategy, and the bonds forged when you ride together toward a common goal. Set in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, Squad Series brings a fresh format to South African mountain biking – a team-based race where communication, tactics, and trust matter just as much as power and speed.
