  1. Hi All, I'm hoping someone can help out. We are going to a wedding close to Hoedspruit in March. As we are going for the weekend, I would like to get a ride in on the Saturday morning. Does anyone know of a good route or nice trails around there? Else I may have to be confined to riding next to/on the road, which I'm hoping not to have to do. Hope someone can help. Cheers Nino
  2. Thanks a mill!!! Will certainly check it out!!
  3. Hi All, Can anyone suggest a decent MTB loop from the Broadacres / Craigavon area. Would like to get about 50km out of it if possible? Thanks Nino
  4. Thanks a mill will check it out today .
  5. Hi All, Anyone know of good mountain bike trails in or close to Cape St Francis? Thanks Nino
  6. I wonder how many spots are actually available off the waiting list ...
  7. Thanks Guys! Please keep us posted if anyone hears anything. :-) I had fired off a mail to them as well, but I'm sure that they have their hands full at the moment, so I have not heard anything back as yet.
  8. Hi There, I was wondering if anyone who was on the waiting list for the Sani2C trail has received an e-mail from Sani2C as yet, letting them know that they have received an entry? The website mentions that one should have received an e-mail by 19 August. Obviously if you haven't received one, you were unsuccessful. Would just like to know if anyone else has received that mail yet. - Feels like a little boy on Christmas morning, not know if Santa will ever arrive ... :-)
  9. Hi Daloco, Thanks for the response, but I had done a search and it seems that there were no decent topics on this particular matter. If I did miss something, humblest apologies and please could you point me in the right direction. I'm riding again tomorrow and wanted to get feedback, as I am looking at buyign shoes & cleats prior to my ride ... Thanks Nino
  10. Hi All, I've been riding my MTB for a little bit now and was wondering what the general consensus is as to when it would be a good idea to switch over to cleats. When asking fellow riders, I get such a varied response. Some say "as soon as possible" others say "take your time". When changing over to cleats, I have heard interesting stories about falling in the most precarious situations, because you can not un-cleat fast enough ... and then again you have the hold of the cleats when doing those clibls ove the rocks etc ... Please let me know what you think! Thanks a mill Nino
  11. @ Chubba, Thanks a ill I will check out these sites! What is the best spot to buy them? Who has decent prices? Thanks Nino
  12. Thanks to all for you replies. Your advice is greatly appreciated! I think I'd be looking at the watch style HRM as I can then make use of it for various other exercise routines too. I have had a look at the Fore runner and it seems to be a really good option. With the exception that I would still need to purchase various optional extras to. "Customize" it for the bike. Which obviously drives the price up again .... Quandary!
  13. Hi There, I have recently started mountain biking, bought myself a Merida and am LOVING the entire experince. Now that I am getting into the swing of things, I would like to ensure that my riding and training is optimised. Besides, I'm a bit of a gadget junkie, so I would like to buy a Heart Rate Monitor to keep track of my "advenures" ... There is quite some choice out there however, so I would like to know if anyone has some input on the following brands: 1. Polar 2. Suunto 3. Garmin and which models within the brands are advisable? ... I would like to track my trianing progress and also see via GPS where I have ridden ... price is obviously always a consideration ... Please lt me know of your thoughts! All the best Nino
