  3. The GPS co ordinates for Wild West are: S25.84990 E28.00708
  4. Once we've completed the trail we will do this ,in the interim we'd just like you guys to come and ride whats there so we can get some feedback on how to improve what we've build so far..
  5. It's just behind Gerhardsville. If you coming from Fourways past Diepsloot, continue underneath Krugersdorp Highway, past the Garage that looks like a Castle, turn left on the Hartebeespoortdam rd , past Tatz estate agents ,4X4 track,Rhuslancea until you get to a gravel rd with sign saying Gerhardsville, turn right continue for 2km's turn left at Wild West.My number is 0847730080 or 0748983280 if you get lost. The track is 5km's long with the potential to add another 20km"s.We plan on having the trail completed by 24th of Sept.See you on Sunday we are there from 7am . Regards Francois
  6. Great ,then come ride. The track is open everyday now and Kobus and I are there all day.
  7. It's free for now ,we've completed 5km"s.Once we have completed the full trail,we will start charging people R30.Is this a fair price?
  8. Hi Hubbers We have to date not had much interest in our venue from members and we are wondering whether to continue with the rest of the trail.Again your feedback is important to us and we would appreciate it if you guys could come ride the trail.
  9. Hey Candy,if this is how you feel about rocks and water and you tired of riding your bicycle please feel free to hop onto a motorbike and come and explore the other side of the mountain at Wild west, you'll be right at home there .
  10. We had four guys on Sat,the feedback we got from them was that the terrain is fairly technical, they found it dificult to ride with cleats through the rocks which the last approximately two km's consist of and asked us to provide an alternative to riding through river crossings so we've changed that, other than that a decent workout.I think that when the rest of the trail is added riders would be able to recover with the addition of some downhills and flat single track. I watched the Nissan race on Mi Way Mountain Biking last night and though I have not been to Teak Place myself ,from what I could see from the terrain there I would say that it is similar. We are currently riding out the trail with the motorcycles during the week to try and smooth it out and the trail has come along way from when we started. In the meantime please feel free to come and ride ,we need your inputs.
  11. Cool, see you on the 11th Sept, the trail should be extended by then.
  12. There are some additional sections which you would be able to ride on but the rest of the land earmarked for the trail needs to be marked and cut so i'm not sure how rideable it would be on a MTB.The purpose of inviting everybody here is simply to get some input from you the rider who would inevitably support our venue once it's done. Regards Francois
  13. Hi Eye Candy so far 5km's,Boertjie and I will show you guys the rest of the farm on which we'll be extending the trail on .We hope to have approximately 30km's by mid Sept.
  14. Great Mark,be sure to post some feedback after you've ridden the trail.
  15. Hi Pieter,no its not. You"ve got to go past that turn off for the 4 by 4"s which is on your left. The next gravel rd to your right would be for Gerhardsville, take that road and look out for sign saying Wild West.
  16. Just come ride this weekend Neil sure you wont be disapointed.
  17. Just come ride the trail ,see WildWest aka Boertjie's direction in this post.Like i've said before we keen on getting your opinions.Just dont tell the Enduro Boys it"s free
  18. Hey Pusher Currently there are four different Enduro loops ranging from extremely tough hill climbs,a trail through a quarry,a twisty section through trees and a non technical loop for novice dirtbike riders. The MTB trail is on a completely different section of the farm where the bikes are not allowed to ride. The plan is to upgrade the amenities in the next month or so ,so that it can serve both disciplines under one roof.Generally the Enduro loop has become very popular over the last year or so and we hope to do the same with the new MTB trail. We have opened the trail to all cyclists just to get an opinion of what it's like and to get your advice on where to improve on the trail, facilities etc.So please guys feel free to come and ride this weekend at no cost,we'd really like to get your take on the first section.
  19. Boertjie will give us a bit of an update of the trail shortly but from what I hear his had a trial run on the first five km"s of the trail and will give some feedback .
  20. Thankx, will let you know once we've finished marking.
  21. Howzit GT,yep its at Boertjies place ,so you know the terrain ,what do think of the idea?Would the terrain suite a trail ,will let you know when we've finished marking .
  22. Howzit Big Guy The trail will be in exactly that area but mostly on the otherside of the mountain away from the enduro loop. Will hopefully see you on the trail once up and running.
  23. Hey Hubbers A mate of mine and I are considering opening up a trail in the Hennopsriver area.I'ts about 20km's from Fourways and should consists of some climbs, single track ,two short river crossings. The terrain is extremely rocky and we expect the trail to be around thirty km's when completed. We both new to the sport and have only build trails for Enduro motorcycles in the past so would anybody be interested in coming to check it out once we've marked the route and give us some advise. From what I gather there is a bit of a demand for a safe area for people to ride. Regards Francois
