  1. Cool thanks will look up the topic. I'm right by the new Pick n' Pay on William Nicole. Also depends where in CT you were, guys (students) in Stellenbosch were very friendly (maybe it's because we had Jonkershoek as our play ground).
  2. Haven't cycled the Spruit yet so can't say what average is fast. Just looking for a daily ride of respectable distance and fair speed
  3. Easy, from Cape Town there every one is friendly and even say "howsit" to rode cyclists
  4. Recently moved back home from Cape Town and looking for some one (group) to ride the Spruit daily. If any one is interested or knows the details of a group or some individuals who ride the Spruit daily at a fast pace please let me know. Thanks

    Polar RCX5

Just checked buycycle.co.za and they have a special on the RCX5 G5 (unti, GPS, and heart rate strap) for R 3895. The only thing you will need to add is a cadence sensor.

I got just the GPS package and it came in at just under R4000 at the Sweat Shop. So got the Watch, GPS, and heart rate monitor. Didn't get the cadence sensor or speed sensor (speed sensor is unnecessary as you have the GPS). The Garmin 310Xt is cheaper but can ONLY be worn when training.

    Polar RCX5

Have had this watch for a couple months now. Got to say probably the best Multi-sport watch on the market and dead accurate. The new GPS sensor is much smaller than the old polar GPS sensor and holds battery life much longer +/- 20 hours while on. Used mine while in Mauritius this year (running only) and never had to recharge the GPS the whole time I was there. This watch is very fashionable and has a very large flat screen but some how does not look big on your arm. Therefore, you can wear this watch all day and not just when you train. Have had numerous people (athletes and non-athletes alike) asking me where I got the watch so that's gotta say something for the styling. Best watch on the market right now and super easy to switch between sports while on the move. Can be found at the Sweat Shop in Sandton, Fourways, and Claremont. Only negative about this watch is that it is quite pricey but definitely worth it!!
