  1. Hi Guys,

I have been approached by a property management company to advise on a BMX track build in the Bruma area.. It appears though that a pump track/jump site might be the better option.... They have the dirt and the Tlb's etc... and want to go ahead asap.. I live too far and have no time for a project like this..

The site has tennis courts, halls, coffee shop etc, etc... Looks like it could be a great place for a new hangout....

Anybody in the area interested in getting involved? No cost, just advice to the developers....

Site is in Hans Pirow Street, Bruma...

  2. I am happy to place the order if needed Free shipping at about R 3000

I have placed a number of orders before on the hub with multiple hubbers..

No clothing, helmets, shoes... unless you are prepared to pay the duty upfront..

CRC rand amount plus 18% to cover vat, duty and my bank charges into my bank account... If there is a massive swing on the currency rate, honour board prevails.. It has only happened once before and I lost out with one member... The other 15 hubbers have been great..

Collect from my office in Marlboro, Gauteng or home in Weltevreden Park, Gauteng

    Mail on gavin.trusler@genmills.com

Would like to place next week if I can..

  5. Nuffy, we use the Shimano for our BMX bikes and no issues for years. Make sure the Shimano is the shiny silver one and not the dark/black one..

If you are prepared to spend... google White Industries BMX freewheel.... Or the new ACS..

  6. I dont really want to wade in on the argument, but I am not sure where the rules for Tokai are posted. Specifically for direction on the trails. Other mtb parks in SA have directional routes and clear signage at both ends of the trail.

I do agree that there is going to be a huge crash, if there hasn't already been one.

In this case it is clear that the 600m of downhill is meant and granted only for one way downhill..... but yet it doesnt really matter who is right and who is wrong when someone gets a serious injury, going up or down...

If BOTH ends of the trail are not marked.... there will always be someone exploring, be it for a perceived shortcut or whatever.... No entry signs in words, not colours or codes, is what is needed at the exits... Its not rocket science...

  7. Me - I don't buy the "he's alright if he 'cesses up". He lived the life, earned the salary, bought the houses, owned the cars, savoured the fans and generally lived it large by cheating.

To make it fair he should donate all his corrupt earning, cars, houses, etc to charity and start over. THAT is putting things right.

Him 'cessing up and keeping all the loot is like a bank robber being let off scott free and allowed to keep the cash - or perhaps a more appropriate example is would be a local politican being found guilty of corruption, let off scott free and allowed to keep all his ill gotten gains. Oh wait - that happend all the time. But none of us are happy about that right? None of us say - that poor Tony Yengeni - he should not have gine to gaol and he should have kept the Merc.

This shallow - oh all right I'm sorry - I doped - let's all hug bullsh!t drives me crazy.
