R4000 max budget. Did some research. Only new bikes available (And available in my area) with that price tag worth the while is the silverback Stride 10 and Scwhinn Mesa. Both with hydraulic disc brakes and +- same specs. Scott Aspect 40 also maybe but has cable disc brakes. Any advice on this or other mtb's available? Second hand bike may have better frame and specs, but is it worth the while if its for a lady and for a first time mtbiker?

Recently my mtb full carbon frame cracked. Currently 5mm crack right at the upright where the rear suspension connects to the frame. Frame does not have a warranty. I heard it is possible to repair such a crack?
