I would go Cannondale - they are awesome, well-built and strong bikes. I have a 29er Hard Tail and I am sold on the brand - my carbon 26er full sus never sees the light of day anymore. However, Ghost is trying to break into the SA market, so may offer better components for your buck. Unless there is a huge difference in component quality and weight, I would still go with cannondale.

Hi everyone, I live/ride in KZN Midlands and work in JHB (Sunninghill) so will be looking to hook up for some weekday morning rides from mid Jan onwards - training for TransPortugal. Sounds pretty scary riding around Jhb on your own so thought I should try and join a group. Of course, any invites will be reciprocated if you guys are ever in my neck of the woods - Karkloof/Notties/Howick/Hilton etc. Look forward to hearing from you all..
