What is a fair price for a race? I'm trying to involve the whole family but it's becoming expensive to enter 4 people regularly. I've just looked at the Heritage Hill race upcomming. R600 for a team of 3? PS: Credits to Babba's, last time around they gave me an imprompto discount on the spot!

Anybody know where I can find the above results from the race on last Sunday?

If it's the klapperkop track it's tough. Can we enter on the day at the venue?

I'm considering the above bikes and please need some advice. I will be doing XC races and riding around Klapperkop en Groenkloof. I'll be somewhere in first 3rd of the group. No aspirations for a podium finish. Which would be most suited and how do they compare. Which will be the more relaxed set-up. Specifically if you are a Spez-recently-converted-Scott 29er I would like your opinion. Kind Regards

Hi There Both Carbon Expert 29er's, how do they compare. More specifically, how much slower would the stumpy be in a general Half marathon like the Van Gaalen, Voriberg, Baabas etc. I'm leaning towards the stumpy but a sales person told me an Epic is a lot faster, does that mean the stumpy is a dog in XC marathon type racing?

I worked in dollars because I had some $ in my Paypal account. I believe working in R are converted to pounds automatically and then converted back by the cc company. But thanks for al the tips, specifically using Parcelforce. Their shipping charge was cheaper as well, I did not sellect them because I did'nt knew them, willdef use them in future. The best suggestion though is to buy more than R3200, that should be easy

Dear All, thought to share my experience. I order stuff to the tune of $343 (inclusive of $51 for shipping) on Tuesday at 1pm from Chainreactioncycles and it arrived this Morning at ORT where it was cleared by DHL. They then contacted me to pay the VAT, I did by EFT and they promise to deliver at home between 1 and 4pm today. Pretty sleek and painless but for one small gripe. Appart from the $51 shipping cost (bulky items) and of course the Vat of R376, DHL charges me a "DISBURSEMENT FLAT RATE 80" fee of R80 ( for clearing the shipment and collecting the VAT, as explained to me by DHL). On a big order not that much but it will hurt when this R80 becomes more than the shipping cost, which is about R60 for a small item. Kind Regards
