My friend wants to put on slicks on his mtb to train on the road. Some people say you then need to replace the tubes as well while others say it is not necessary and you can use the original tubes. Is it necessary to buy 'special' tubes?

Thanks Mampara! One other thing I am 1.85m, what size would you suggest? The shop has a 54cm (Medium frame) if I remember correctly and says it should be right because it is like a compact frame design or something like that.

Hi all Can anyone please answer my question: How can I quickly identify the 2011 Ultegra components? Is there any significant visual difference? Reason I am asking is because I am busy buying a new bike and the shop says it is a 2011 bike but I have seen that bike standing there last year. Maybe they put on 2011 parts. Thanks

They broke into our house yesterday and this is all they took I don't think the insurance is going to pay out for the bikes and, although I don't have any hope, would like to have at least one of them back so I can ride!!
