I mostly ride alone and with most of my riding done in the capetown region. I'm now in jhb and my knowledge on safe trails is limited. I have ridden thaba trails and rietvlei and feel quite safe there. Modderfontein is closer for me but how safe is it to ride Modderfontein? Would like to try it.

its a GT outpost. I will prob spend around R1k, anything more I think will be a waste on this sort of bike. Well I have upgraded the wheel set that i got at a decent price. Current shocks have a caliper mount but been given a better set of Shocks thats definetly only for disc brakes. So will fit there. only thing I need now is the calipers and lever set to finish it of. Im in no rush so will keep looking around.

greetings All As a Newbie I have found this site very informative and for my first post here goes. currently have a GT still on v brakes and busy with the conversion to discs, have most of the parts (rims, hubs, discs) except for the brake set as im not sure which is a decent quality to purchase. Wat do you guys suggest? not looking at spending a large sum of cash on brakes but just want a decent set. Is it possible to buy this secondhand in the classifieds? thanks alot Oh yes its not post mount on the shock so will need the adapters.
