  6. Wow guys, been a pretty hectic journey of physical and emotional pain. But Im finally in Australia with my parents, brother and sister.. Bit sorry I didnt post this earlier, just havent had time. Been here for about 3 awesome months already, time flies when your having fun as they say. Anyway, Its pretty amazing over here. Wish more people could have the opportunity to move to such a 1st world country.. I hope all is well back in SA and just thought Id pop in to say hi
  7. Yip, R50 is crazy. When those guys order, they bring in 1000 at a time. They might pay R10 a band with customs. So they make at least R35-R40 a band.. A lot of people do donate to Livestrong, but then u not getting a band to show your support, hence why most people in SA buy the bands. It is wrong to make a profit, and i do agree with you. But my profit is marginal, and for me, it honestly isn't worth doing it if you get absolutely nothing back. Just my honest opinion... Also, it takes a lot of effort to get these bands in. In every box of 100, u could get 20 orders. That could be 10 trips to the PO. Speedi2009-12-01 10:14:47
  8. Mr Holy! Well, that depends on whether I pay customs or not. If I pay customs, I normally make R4-6 per band. If customs don't nail me, up to R10 per band... Its not a lot in the big scheme of things, I still have to make a plan to get to the PO at least twice a week and purchase padded envelopes...
  9. Hey guys, I get a lot of people tuning me about selling the Livestrong wristbands, and asking where the money REALLY goes? Well, my uncle donates $1000 each year to the cause, and gets a letter directly from Lance to thank him for his support. Now this got me thinking, surely Lance wouldnt go to so much trouble if the money went to his back pocket? Click here
  10. Can definitely add Mr haste (Tim) to my list. What a great guy hey! Thanks for the great service.
  11. Some good points guys... thanks for your input! Definitely going to give Windows 7 a try, might dual-boot Linux and 7.
  12. Ok cool, and Linux costs?
  13. Yeah - that's why Bill Gates says he wants Windows to be like a drug -easy to get onto' date=' but impossible to get off.It can quite frustrating (and was very frustrating then), but now Itear out my hair everytime I have to use a Windows box. There'sNO apps with it (Linux gives you office suites, games, programmingtools, frikkin' EVERYTHING out of the box).I look at a Windows box and wonder what the hell I can do with it.The frustration is that some software will ONLY run under Windows(my Garmin stuff, for example). It's frustrating keeping a Windows boxalive purely to get my GPS software updated! I can download fromthe Garmin to Linux, but not do the software updates.... [/quote'] Eish, ya Windows is a bit addictive i suppose. I wonder if Linux can run iTunes? What about media like movies?
  14. Not too much. I just know that a few people rave about it.
  15. Ok, cool beans.. Its quite pricey as well.
  16. Hey guys Anyone got any advise to give on Windows 7? Is it worth switching over from XP Pro? And what about the Linux OS?
  17. LIVESTRONG! Btw guys, i have wristbands in stock!
