  1. I bought them from our local Giant Dealer in Shelly Beach
  2. I've used the white latex sealant for some time now with no issues at all but the gooey mess when you remove the tyre has left me frustrated. I'm going to give the Ryder Green Tyre Sealant a try, hopefully it won't disappoint.
  3. I bought the Kenda Flintridge 700x40C Tubeless Ready tyres and took the HT for a long road ride today. The rolling resistance is minimal and the bike feels good with those tyres.
  4. The replies have been most informative and I thank you all for your input, I'm still a bit puzzled about my mishap with the Conties though.
  5. The Kenda Flintridge has a good write up.
  6. Cool.
  7. That makes good sense, thanks!
  8. Thanks man! I require them mainly for tar road riding. I'd use my regular MTB for off road and gravel.
  9. Great thank you
  10. The Conties I fitted aren't tubeless specific. After my puncture I discovered that the tube was rubbing against the inner casing of the Conties causing the problem. This happened with regular Scott specific Syncross Alexrims. When I fitted the Conties on my ZTR ARCH EX 29er rims the fit was much tighter but the beading didn't seem to fit properly.
  11. Thanks for the feedback
  12. 20mm ID on ZTR ARCH EX 29er rims
  13. ZTR Arch EX 29er rims with 20mm inner width
  14. I am starting to put in the miles for the upcoming Amashova Cycle Race and usually enter the MTB Batch to ride the race. However my wife hasn't ridden her HT Mountain Bike in ages and it's just collecting dust. One of my mates suggested I convert the HT into a Gravel/Road Bike by adding slicks. I fitted Continental Comfort Contact 28x1.75 with wire beading and took the bike for a ride. Along the way to my horror I developed a front wheel puncture and the tyre came right off the rim. Sportsman Warehouse are advertising 700x35c/29x1.5 Slick Tyres and I'm a bit hesitant now - What's the general feeling about this?
  15. I saw your posting and think you need to punish that clown who serviced your hubs before. My cassette came off easy as pie but I am a bit worried putting force onto the freehub by pulling it off. I suppose its piss easy once you've seen how its done but all the shops tell you to leave it there and come back later. Thats pointless.
  16. Thanks for that bit of advice! I pulled out of the hill2hill after all that rain we had. All our normal routes and river crossings have been washed away. I believe out of 400 odd - 60% pulled out (me) - then 40% after that failed to finish - the rest have their bikes in for repairs.
