Every couple of weeks the Rekord newspaper has some article on how the Tshwane municipality is in contempt of court. The courts have apparently ordered the municipality to relocate these people. As usual nothing happens!!

Hi Guys, Another attempted attack on Garsfontein road this morning. A friend of a friend went out early for a ride, as he got onto Garsfontein road two guys started to chase him. They also fired two shots at him. He managed to get away with no injury. He was however pretty shaken. It sounds as if this is the same part of the road as the other attack. He has reported this to the Garsfontein police. Guys please be careful out there!

Sorry, I can't open the link, it was on the westen side of Mookloof Ridge. You follow that road up that nice hill past the townhouse complex with the guard tower. Yes, there are very few people that ride there. Once I saw a group of maybe 7 or so riders, that was the largest group ever. Some motocross bikes now and then. Funny, this morning before the incident I saw horse trails on the path. That would have been something to see, the troll trying to knock the rider off their horse. Cheers.

Hi Guys. Please beware of Bush Trolls trying knock cyclists off their bikes behind the Mooikloof Ridge Estate. They tried to knock me off this morning but I managed to ride away. Other may not be so lucky! I can't upload a map. It’s the section from Garsfontein road between Moreleta Park and National Intelligence. Ultimately ending at Delmas road. I have reported it to the police, and they said they'll send a patrol that way. This is sad as it is a nice section to ride.

Does anyone know if there are mtb routes around the Standerton area?

I bought a Cube Acid 29er. I'm really happy with the bike. I had an issue with the front Rapid Ron tyre once I converted to tubeless. Changed it to a Conti X King and all's good. The back tyre never gave any problems. One of those things I guess. Some Say, the standard Rockshox fork may be the weak link on the bike. I'm looking at upgrading the front fork. My opinion, get the Cube, it's well worth it.
