  3. During the Lost City race, we had a fellow rider in our group. He had his Ipod and was listening to lekker tunes while riding. The volume was quite high, cause even riding next to him at about 40 km/h, I could hear the doef-tji-doef-tji of his next killer track. This ouk was in his own world of racing, and didn't take much notice of any other riders around him. You needed to haev an extra few cms between you and him, since you never knew when he'll do a move again, without him know your close behind him. Are earphones actually allowed during races?
  4. Hey Pookie... I'm not gonna read through all these replies, so I'll just add my tip-of-the-day. Wash your bike as soon as you can after the ride. Specially after 'n muddy ride. If you went through some really tuff stuff, you will struggle to get it off a day later, even with a hp hose. I just wash when I get home, before even taking a shower myself. I use very diluted Clean Green to wash the bike and chain, and then rinse it with a water. Use WD40 to get rid of the water stuck in the chain. I don't always do this, it depends on how dirty the chain was. Then I lube with Finish Line Dry (Red one). Lube the both the derailleurs' moving parts (that's all the pivot points, pulleys etc.) with the same stuff. It's the best one of the lot, for riding in the dry conditions around here in Centurion. Then store the bike in it's little house, underneath it's warm blanket... Then you go on with the rest of your day... Tjirs, happy riding
