Have a look at www.kingscycle.co.za Based in the Western Cape, they offer the Sott Scale 35 (lightest frame ever made!!!) for 13500k...everywhere alse nearly 20k. Check it out!

The Aspect is not bad at all...what you need to look at is weight obviously...and alot of cheaper (beneath 15k is still cheaper believe it or not) full sus bikes are less well-specced to keep the price down compared to hardtails of similar price. Mind you, I am a hardtail fan...and a Scott fan as well I believe the Aspect weighs in at something close to 13kg? Have a look at www.bicycling.co.za and search for that price category. They have pretty realistic retail prices and many brands which can be viewed.

Go with the Olympics for sure. Sole is stiff yet flexible enough to not stuff up your feet. And the last and last and last....why care about brand names if it is value for money that count these days...?

Thanks eh! Then I was surely about to be ripped off, I was told they payed R6000 for it (which now turns out to be the WHOLE kit) and want to sell te bike and shoes for R3500! What a bad deal! I am having trouble finding a good small sized road bike for below R2000...so if you know of anyone that has a good one...please pm me!

I'd like to get a new bike and someone recommended the Raleigh RM4 as a good entry level MTB. Any oppinions, experience with this bike? It has a Suntour Axon fork, Deore and LX and rides well apparently... Then, anybody with knowledge on a Genesis FXO road bike, 9 speed of about 3 years old? Did 1 Argus and a bit of training...then it cost R6000...what should it be costing now? Thanks and...cheerios

How does one clean your mtb properly? I find that little bits of grit and sand gets stuck near the front derailleurs and onto the fork. Does one need to clean that regularly or wait for the next service? How often does the chain need to be lubed? I got told every 3rd ride? Please shed some light for me................
