  1. Another trick - drop your wrists. Helps keep weight forward. P
  2. No-one on here has mentioned what I think may be the most NB difference between these bikes: geometry. The Scott for e.g. has far lower stack height than the Camber. Depending on your leg length you could go L or XL size - with huge differences in how you need to size to have the same feel as say on the Camber (or your current bike, where the bars are much higher. Do you like long or short stems, do you like your bars low or high, does it matter to you if you need a riser bar, etc. Take careful measures of your current position and go compare; go sit on the XL of all and only then decide; the rest less NB and will come down to little personal choices. Geometry always most NB.
  3. My linkage bearings seized (after perhaps a less than ideal service following the Imana wild ride). Santa Cruz sent me a whole new frame. No Questions asked by LBS or SC. Believe the hype!
  4. Bikehub AGAIN 1st in world with new bike news? What's happening here?
  5. Looks dodgy to me - no clue what data will be used for and why? Could even be someone's reseach project - if so needfs to state that and enrollment should be voluntary. No way I'm filling it in, and I asked lots of Q...waiting for reply.

    The Munga 2015

Looks like he's at the shed across the road for the Padstall - what's he looking for?
  7. Phew, there are a lot of people out on the TMB front today And with Tokai closed for the nex 18 mo plus, time to grab this opportunity! How about adding to this wishlist (Sorry Rob ) "Threats" Just too many people out there: Trails are not going to last. Already the "epic" plum pudding hill descent is rutting and one rainful and it won't be pleasant. On the jeeptracks the corners and links pretty dangerous with everyone charging down the clean lineThe few singletracks we have are packed; lots of "walkers" I'd love to see all joining together - strength in numbers? Should one go on a recruitment drive?Trails need maintenance for sure, esp the singletrack, but also the steep sections of the jeeptracks.Real opportunity to motivate for more singletrack - how about starting with creating more "links" betweeen existing jeeptrack or to Tafelberg road. Link to "future Tokai" could be built over next 18 months till Tokai opens?Need signage/more warnings, right of way instructions, etcNeed to keep some singletrack for black grading, not all blue/red? IMO either two lines or best is to start with a "qualifier". The bridge at Plum pudding hill actually just means more go down now and then walk or drag brakes. The entrance should be as tough as the exit?I'm sure others have lots of comments too...let's hear them.......
  8. [duplicate] Can we get a comment from the organizers?
  9. "I've never felt so unfairly treated as a woman either, through my 20 years as a professional cyclist, regarding a fair start for elite women." http://www.cyclingnews.com/blogs/gunn-rita-dahle-flesja-diary/gunn-rita-blog-adventures-at-cape-epic Does seem like only 3 teams have a chance.....
  10. Uh - sure those are legal? Looks like you're off the path/road and onto dunes.
  11. Good grief - there is some rather poor info on here. Go see your doctor and if he can't explain to the value of a 24 hour ambulatory BP test in your setting, or explain to you how that would better calculate your risk and plan your therapy, ask for a referral to a physician with an interest in hypertension.
  12. I think you guys are missing Burry's point. Yesterday, he was actually asking and aswering the question to himself - why did they not gift a stage to 360Life, as 36One were leading and likely winners and they should share the spoils, His answer (to himself and us) I think was perfectly justifyable - firstly "no gifts" (they might have a mechanical and not win) and secondly he didn't feel that 360Life did enough to warrant a gift on this stage. All fair comment IMO. Today's tweet though suggests he's picked up the negative vibe round his comments BUT still didn't gift them a stage.Still needs some PR training though. I wonder whether 360two are expecting or hoping for gifts now? Would it help their relationship ;-)
