(5-7km laps) Teams of 3 or Solo. Most completed laps in 6 hours win prizes. Entry Fee: Online R200.00 (late entries R250.00) per rider Times: 09:00 – 15:00 More about the day The hotly contested 6 hour Endurance Challenge starts at 09:00 and will finish at 15:00 with prize giving afterwards. Cyclists can enter the solo category for all those wanting to test their stamina or a three man team for those who wanting to race with friends. This is a well-organised event that allows participants the opportunity to immerse themelves in beautiful Delta Park and offers spectators a wonderful family day out with food, drink and entertainment. The school sports fields provide a thrilling space for spectators to follow the racing, watch team changeovers and enjoy the super-fast section through the school which is the highlight of the cyclist’s lap. We have some fun upgrades to this years route - no portages, A & B lines in all tricky places to cater for all levels. On the school grounds we have included the staircase down onto the bottom field and an alternative route to the steep uphill section off the lower field to avoid congestion there. Some work has begun on the route...mainly just grass cutting for now but it means the route is more rideable around the top end of Delta Park for those who ride it regularly, go check it out on the weekend. Online entries have closed but there will be line entries tomorrow morning from 6.30ish until 8am. Beer tents are being put up, bridges are being built, track being prepared, race packs are being packed - all is looking good for an awesome day tomorrow. Race briefing will be at 8.45am. Race starts at 9. Coffee will be ready by 7am. Beer will be cold by 9.20am. Breakfast and lunch ready all day. Prize giving at 3.15pm. Its going to be a fab day! See you there!

Yip, parkrun is as normal. Only difference is that some of the parking areas close to the Road No3 entrance will be closed to parkrunners. Parkrun has asked them to park in the school property and walk through the school to avoid cars leaving during the first lap.

About 6km each loop - we do advise the community around the park, the park users, parkrunners, environmental centre etc that the event is on and to use the park before or after the event rather. We are working with all of them to make sure the route is safe and fun for all. The route is on the very outskirts of the park. There are marshals out on the route as well and signage to advise others.

Build a Bike will be at the Delta Dash on Saturday, collecting unwanted bike parts, if you have anything lying around in your way, bring it through and they will use it to give a new set of wheels to someone who can afford one - http://www.buildabikesa.com/

One month to go to this years Delta Dash - we have some awesome plans in the pipeline and great prizes rolling in. This years going to be even better than last.....cant wait.
