Tried to enter the race on the closing day, only to be told that it was already closed ????

Anyone know where we can get the results?

Does anyone know what the real vertical ascent is - as the mapmyride (804 m) (http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/349144283) is way different to the advertised (1800 m) in the race booklet ?

After an unfortunate accident, I am facing the decision to replace my current wheelset for my Cannondale Scalpel 29er. I have read that carbon wheels give better performance and are lighter but are expensive, and less hardy whereas the alloys take hammering better and are significantly cheaper. Any suggestions ?
