  1. Sorry to hear about your negative experiences with the product, since BPT has taken over the brand we have and will continue to work hard on improving the power2max market share and offering customers the support the deserve. The newer NG and NGeco models have had significant improvements over previous models with almost zero manufacturing defects. We have further worked with p2m Germany to offer customers who do experience product failures which are not covered by warranty a significant discount through a crash replacement program. This is assessed on a case by case base.

Didn't realise that the P2M agency had changed hands.. I've owned about 4 Cycleops hubs, and currently on a hammer trainer. Only good things to say and positive experiences with the BPT guys over all the years. Different story here.. Nice 1 boys!

  2. And great back-up by these guys too!

VERY different experience from a few of us. Bought 5 between mates..

WRT local back up, Andrew completely non responsive. My cousin eventually tracked down his wife's work phone number after he went quiet with the money. I had to start CC'ing global in mails to get a response from him.

WRT product, 2 of the 3 mtb power meters that we bought cracked in the EXACT same place on the battery housing. They blamed my mechanic for over torquing the screw, but their new design changed this thing specifically. Local wouldn't stand by the product, global would t stand by the product and in the end I had to claim from my own insurance and pay excess.

Bad product experience (it happens) but terrible support. I'm definitely never getting another P2M with all the other quality product on the market these days.

Just my 2c. Hope that other hubbers learn from my mistake.

  3. Johnny Bravo - This forum is about opinion on Black Spade. If you want to punt your own brand, start your own post.

Don't knock guys trying to get a brand up and running. You say you are sick of inflated prices, but then knock a brand that's trying to compete against the known names.

It may be cheap to import your own bike, but the logistics and effort are not worth it. I think the BS bikes are great and the fact they offer customisation makes them unique compared to just "another import".

I for one am a fan of the brand and have spoken to them and they say they want to offer more accessories and clothing as well so they not just about making a quick buck, they in it for the long haul. We should support them, not knock them down.

    Hear hear.

  4. I've been on the full-sus 29er for the past few months.. best bike I've been on.. road, TT or MTB.. hands down!

The guys at black spade are all about custom bikes and attention to detail, and their service is great. I've got a TT bike and one of their road bikes coming out the shop this week, and they have been running around to make sure that I get each component and custom decal that I want (thanks guys).

I'll post pics when the bikes are out the shop later in the week..

  5.

    Heres a comparison table.

    CAMPAGNOLO              SHIMANO              SRAM

    Super Record 11               ---                       ---

    Record                         Dura ACe                Red

    Chorus 11                      -----                       ----

    Chorus                         Dura Ace                 ----

    Centaur Carbon           Ultegra SL             Force

    Centaur Alumini           Ultegra                    ----

    Veloce                          105                        Rival

Ppl get emotional about this. Campag supporters are passionate by nature. Shimano supporters are also passionate' date=' but they tend more towards hysteria.

The best comparison I have seen between Campag and Shimano was on the Hub, before your time S2L. Perhaps someone can post the photos of the Campag woman and of the Shimano woman, so you can get a clearer idea of the difference.

Value?- just get onto the CWC site and check out their prices.

Where exactly did you find this comparison table Yang?

The bicycling mag handbook had a very different version.

From what I have experienced, SRAM's rival outperforms an Ultegra groupset as far as performance and reliability is concerned. And for the weight weenies, even the old '07 Rival is lighter than the new Ultegra SL.
