Don't understand why the hubs would be a problem as the bike is practically new. Should I get new hubs? Recommendations for decent ones that aren't worth more than the bike?

Got the bike back today and it seems to be ok. haven't gone for a proper ride yet but will update. they serviced the rear hub. Yes they are alex rims...are these problematic?

Took it back to the shop today and picking it up tomorrow afternoon so I'll post when I find out

Need some advice and/or help: Bought my 2012 silverback stride 10 less than a month ago and lately been getting this annoying rubbing sound on the rear wheel whenever spinning. sounds like metal on metal rub and gets louder the faster the wheel spins. I've checked the brakes and reset them. Even went as far as to remove the caliper and spin the wheel without it and the noise still there. Only way i can describe the noise is sort of like when a car bearing is busted...whump whump sound(not dubstep). is there when pedalling and just spinning. Any ideas what it could be and what to do?

What a pleasure! Bought my bike with all the kit needed from john D at olympic and the service was amazing...as a beginner it was the easiest and nicest experience I could ask for

Thanks for the advice...and for clarifying LBS! I honestly don't want to spend more than R3000 so I think the giant would be a good option. I live in Kenilworth. Any decent shops nearby? Also will they advise me on correct size? I'm quite tall.

Hi all I haven't ridden a bike for a good 8 years and I'd like to get started again for fitness and general enjoyment. I need some advice on what to buy as a beginner.
