    Planet X

I just want to say thank you to Kiwi and Lyn who did an amazing job. They sold me a very nice bike which was also the cheapest quote and I must say I am extremely happy. While I was waiting for it to come down to Cape Town they kept me updated every day. What you get for the price is amazing and even the lads doing the setup for me when it came got exited. Sent my meseurements to Kiwi and he built me the perfect bike. Will upload pics as soon as I can thank you so much guys, I'll def use u again

Hey there Thank you for the SportX. I used it this weekend at Clanwilliam Freshpak Triathlon. I used the SprtX instead of my normal Gu or powerbar gel's and I finised a good time of 1:32:00 even thou I wasn't as fit as wanted to be. Did'nt really have a hard time on the bike and took a beating on the run because off the heat, but otherwize pretty good experiense. Definintly worth more experementing on and I'll be placing my order soon

Thanks for the stuff! Got it yesterday and it looks interisting. Have the freshpak triathlon this weeknd so I'll give it a try and give feedback
  4. TI is very expensive. If you want wetsuits try 3-sport. very nice people and they do combo deals. Other thing that will get you use to the long distance after all tips have bee tried above is to do group open water swims. Atlantic tri club and 3-sport all do groupd swims. As above I also train with HR momnitor and leave the drills for the off season when you don't need to worry about fitness Didn't read all the comments so sorry if I'm repeating somebody Good luck and catch you on the finish line
  5. Have you tried using the polar heart rate training tool?
  6. I feel you should stick with the bigger insurers who have a personal relationship(via brokers). The brokers tend to fight more for their clients. I'm one so I know, where did these guys advertise or did you get it thru a broker, don't know them

I'm game for a trail run. What do I do?
  8. I started out on a alu Silverback frame and I still use it for training. Personally I prefer Silverback to Merida and Raleigh
  9. It is. Triangle sports has the lisence, they started with the imports round about the last 70.3 Ironman. I'm not worried about the parts of the bike, I'm struggling more that I might weaken myself on both diciplins if I go for a bike that I can use in both tri and single sports, or rather keep my old bike and get a tri bike just for tri
  10. Hi All Hope that u will be able to help me. I have been doing triathlon for 2 years now, but cycling for a bit longer. Still own my first bike which is a old second hand Silverback. I want to upgrade to a tri bike now, and then keep the silverback for my cycle only events. Browsing on the web I found Quintana Roo has a new Split R bike which is interesting because it's both. Gives you n normal racing bike with mini clip on bars. This means that if I take it I can sell my Silverback and have a full carb in both worlds The Question is I don't know the bike. Will it be comfortable in both tri (Jailbreak and Ironman and 70.3, energade series)and normal cycling or will I be riding with a disatvantage. Will the setup make it hard to climb or not? Will the mini clip on be less comfortable on the longer rides? I can't see the bike beforehand, you order it from Triangle sports. So does anybody have a opinon on this?? Hi All Hope that u will be able to help me. I have been doing triathlon for 2 years now, but cycling for a bit longer.
