    Argus 2014

Think it is that double loop - all the guys and girls I know that did 2 loops are missing results. Wonder if someone informed Racetec that their were actually a whole bunch that were allowed to do it?

I am still trying to get a start card... Seems my race pack was packed by Eskom (it's a little load shedded).

No FAIR, you got tubes, think you are pulling our legs here?
  4. You missed the break...
  5. Accuracy of results. Check out the close sprint finish under CAT 4 u/16, Racetec would never have been able to do that. Also, finish line is the finish line, no more outsprinting your fellow riders to the mats. This weekend, wear both chips and see how your position change as your friends try and outrace you to the mats.
  6. Hubbers, does anyone have the profile of the Tour de PPA from last year (yes the one where the wind howeled)? See PPA only have the roadmap. No profile?
  7. Recovery... you never know untill you try it. Glutamine with protein recovery drink post ride followed by healthy dinner (yes that means eating the green stuff with some chic/fish/steak) followed by good nights sleep.
  8. This weekend is league with a funride event (non PPA), so no Racetec involvement. For the races that PPA are involved, Racetec will be timing as well, so you need both to log a Racetec timing for seeding purposes. PPA / League races are Tour de PPA, B/Soenen, Roller Coasted, Medalion).
  9. Can't wait for the league to start. Also, will be very interesting to see the time/positional difference between Racetec and About2Time (but only next week when Racetec are also involved). About2Time log actual finishing on the line, no queue to go over finish mats meters away from finish line. Sorry all those loosers that try and outsprint people to the mats. Gonna me AWESOME!
  10. BETA, don't even get me started on how screwed up this is. Last year Burger was 0.98, when PPA re-seeded they changed it to 1.06 but kept the Argus as 1??? So, who knows what the Beta will be. Burger 2012 = was 0.98 but then later changed to 1.06 (while great tailwind all the way home, perfect conditions)? Burger 2011 = was very windy similar to this year and was only 0.94 Thinking probably around 1.
  11. I agree, still have a numb pienkie finger from the vibrations. Price I pay for a reactive bike.
  12. Aha... that about sums it up! Sure you had me for company
  13. Some times cramping is not due to hydration or lack of nutritian - sometimes the muscles just spasm from over excurtion. Best advice, train to race and not race to train. Make sure the muscles are used to the effort during normal training. Could also be a muscle imbalance, over use of certain muscles - is it always the same muscles cramping? Good luck! (Oja, I am also a kramphol... so I know! Mine seems to be over use of one particular muscle, so got a bio to help with this).
  14. Oh crap sorry to here. Post pics on a new thread, amazing how the hubbers can "snuffel" out a bike.
  15. Bokie is referring to prize money - and I agree with this. Shocking that only recongnise first 3 boys and girls. What about the tandems and us older folkes? Don't get me wrong, not really about the money, but the recognition that there are other groups racing as well. This is not a funride.
