This fun event in the beautiful Elgin Valley will be held on the Lebanon Mtb Trails, race starts at Oak Lane Cottages on Saturday the 22nd of March 2014. The distances 27km and 10km. The longer distance (27 km) really has something of everything for the enthusiastic mountain biker. You will once again ride for the title of King and Queen of Lebanon. Show off your technical skill and expertise on this well-loved single track, or just come and ride for fun. Here you can prove your experience, co-ordination and skill on narrow bridges, rocky stretches and weaving single track with the 27km trail or opt a shorter easier 10km race through orchards, forest and around farm dams. Both offer spectacular views with forests and fynbos. Do you think you have what it takes to win this title and compete against the well trained regulars and locals? – this has long been asked by many... This brand new event in the beautiful Elgin Valley will be held on the well known Lebanon Trails and we are hoping would turn out to be an annual event. Cyclist who have participated in the W2W and the Cape Epic (which both include sections of the trails) are not strangers to some of the most exciting single track in Lebanon. Two distances will be on offer – 27km and 10km. The longer distance (27 km) really has something of everything for the hard-core mountain biker. You will be riding for the title - proving your technical skill and expertise on the single track. Are you ready to tackle long climbs, crazy fast down hills - or are you only interested in a short ride (10km) just to experience and enjoy a small taste of everything? Why not join us for a fun and exhilarating race? Trophies will be presented to the fastest male rider (King) of the 27km trail, fastest female rider (Queen) to ride the 27km, fastest junior male rider (under 16) and fastest junior female rider (under 16) for 27km Medals will be given to first, second and third of the 10km trail. All winners will be photographed and appear on the Lebanon website.
