  1. Good Morning All My uncle (also Mike) has kindly agreed to come up to Underberg and drive my car down to Durban on Tuesday next week. I would be really grateful if someone doing the Sani2c Adventure, who is driving up on Tuesday for registration, would be able to give him a lift. Alternatively, does anyone know if there are any buses or shuttles going up on Tuesday? Please let me know. Thanks, Mike
  2. Gents, I got the entry for free, so I'm not complaining!! Just would love to have to "T-Shirt" to say I did it. Maybe they will have extra kit for sale at registration? Hopefully as I'm not sure anyone would be willing to sell their kit. Worth a try though.
  3. Hi There, I've just been offered an entry to ride for a mate who can't make it. I'm really chuffed, the only thing is that the guy wants the free kit. Is there possibly anyone out there who's done a few sani's and wouldn't mind selling their kit to me? L or XL Thanks Mike
  4. Hey Sean, the shop is looking great. I like the products you are stocking - not the type of stuff you can easily find at the bigger cycle shops. Also it's not full of rubbish products like the other shops, just quality. I like. All the best and I look forward to the opening of the coffee shop. Regards Mike
  5. I also have Hope hubs on my Oozy rims. (they sound awesome too)
  6. I have had the crossride 29er wheels for about a year now. Upgraded from the standard Syncros (Alexrims) that I had to have spokes replaced and trued just about every month. I am 6.1 and 92kg, so a bit smaller than you. The crossrides have not given me a day's trouble and I've riden them pretty hard. Decent rims for the money.
  7. Update: I received a brand new 2013 Rockshox Reba RLT solo air in the post on Friday last week. After a bit of research I attempted the installation on Friday night and installed it successfully in about an hour. I wanted to post some pictures but I get an error message that the forum can't accept the file name extension? Anyway, took the bike for ride at Northern Farm on Sunday and was well impressed with the difference in performance. I set the sag at about 15% which may be a bit stiff. I'll play with the pressure and rebound settings over time and see what works best. Thank you for all the advice, you guys really helped me out. Here are some links to the pics - hope these work. http://www.airrifle.co.za/attachment.php?attachmentid=47910&d=1374879271 http://www.airrifle.co.za/attachment.php?attachmentid=47913&d=1374879271 http://www.airrifle.co.za/attachment.php?attachmentid=47912&d=1374879271 http://www.airrifle.co.za/attachment.php?attachmentid=47911&d=1374879271 http://www.airrifle.co.za/attachment.php?attachmentid=47914&d=1374879271 Regards Mike
  8. No problem JCA, I need a straight steerer. Thanks for all the advice guys, much appreciated.
  9. PS: my wheelset can take both - I have a 9mm converter in for my current fork.
  10. Haha, no offence taken. I started riding last year but I am on my second bike already. I may be new to the sport but I am not scared of getting into the technical aspect of the equipment. That being said, forks are a hell of a lot more complicated than what I expected... I appreciate the advice and am 99% sold on the solo. Just one more question, if the dual was a 15mm TA and the RLT was a 9mm QR, would that have a significant effect on your decision?
  11. Thanks for the replies. I must admit that I am one of those people who like to "do it myself", however I also get really annoyed when something is slightly "off". I have a feeling that with a dual air fork, I wouldn't get any sleep. Just a correction my first post, the 2013 Reba is an RLT. I'm leaning towards this one.
  12. Hi There I am looking to upgrade my front fork from a Suntour XCR to an air fork. I have been scouring the net and 2 forks catch my eye. Both are roughly the same price but I'm not sure which would be a better choice. The 2 forks are the Rockshox Reba RL Dual Air (2012) and the Rockshox Reba RL Solo Air (2013). Both are new and size 29". Which one would you reccommend and why? Thanks Mike
