  1. Well I did it!! this is a brute of a race! very well organised, and the water points were great. the thing I was most worried about was getting sleepy, but this did not happen .... have to agree the last 60km's were not fun.... hill after hill in the high 30's made it tougher. but I accomplished my goal... and even got a podium! definitely bucket list stuff... will I do it again... no!
  2. How do you guys normally handle your taper two weeks away from the 360?
  3. the advice and tips I have received via this Forum have been awesome! I am now terribly nervous with only a few weeks to go before my first 360 one!! I know I have done the training (I think!).... but when your friends keep telling you 'you are insane' and asking the same question over and over 'WHY??" I quietly question my sanity! but I am very determined and only see a finish as an option! just hoping the weather plays along! role on D Day!
  4. I suppose on the day/night my body will tell me what to do! I dont know what to expect, and as the guys are saying.... roll on 360! my nerves are frazzled already! planning a 6/7 hour night ride this coming Saturday to try and simulate part of the race....
  5. hi, my first 360, riding as a mixed team. have 5 K2C under belt and 1 trans baviaans etc. currently our hours are about 4 x 2hrs early am before work and weekends at least one 5-6 hour session and then about a 3-4 hour session...... is this enough? and at what point do we taper and how would you suggest? i havent noticed anyone talking about grapping some zzz's during the race... does this happen? I think I am the most stressed about how to deal with the sleep deprivation!
