  1. It all depends on the conditions you ride in and how often you maintain it. We sponsor Rourke Croeser and all the Kargo Pro Mtb team members. The ride between 4500km and 6500KM on a set. We don't use grease in their bearings to cut down on friction. Some of our riders who did the Epic are still riding with the same set of bearing. if you stay away from high pressure hoses and service your bearings regularly you should get more than a years worth of riding before you have to replace the bearings.
  2. none of the above. nylon swells in water and vesconite creates to much drag and friction sucking up all your watts. you are on the right path though. (-; it is a very low friction, self lubricating material. no it is not teflon eather.
  3. Our BB system still uses bearings but has a fail safe built into it. we refer to it as a secondary bearing. Should your bearing seize up while you are riding then it will automatically start running on the dust cap which is manufactured from high wear resistant , self lubrication polymer. you can ride on and will not even notes that your bearings have seized. in the testing done over the last two years we could get between 3000km and 5000km on the dust caps alone. The other feature is our sealing system.
  4. They do, it is the QR-BSA-24 threaded cups.
