  1. You also get 177.5mm and 180mm. I am 6'4" and am currently riding with 175mm Bontrager cranks. I was told that longer cranks would give me a little more leverage on big climbs. CRC has Dura-Ace 7900 in all sizes from 170mm to 180mm. Anyone know if there is an accurate measurement and calculation to determine the correct size crank length? Try http://www.machinehead-software.co.uk/bike/cranks/cyclist_crank_length_calculator.html Won't say it is the be all and end all... just an(other) calculator... Cool, thanks Agteros According to that calculation I require 178.75mm cranks. So therefore either the 177.5 or 180mm should be better for me than my 175mm that I am currently using.

  3. I have updated my pics of my baby fully rebuilt. Thanks to WindblownPE and High-rider for the stunning saddle and wheels that I got from them respectively to finish the job off.
  4. Great pics Standoff You are a flippin' legend with that camera!!!! Maniac2009-04-23 23:56:25
  5. Alluminium frame and fork = R1500.00 Carbon Frame and fork = R1850.00 Reason for the difference is that alluminium can get dipped in paint stripper, whilst carbon has to be sanded down by hand.
  6. Hey Standoff They do anything that moves, they do fantastic work. I have a brand new bike for under R2000.
  7. My baby built up. Just waiting for new bottle cages and new decals for front wheel to match rear wheel. Will do proper pics when fully complete. Maniac2009-04-23 09:08:30
  8. Not sure, but give them a ring on 016 5901146 or 0721912022 Whatever the price - I am sure it will be worth it!

  10. My first Sani. Fantastic event and brilliant organisation. However, a bit bitter sweet for me. Day 1 had a bad fall at speed on the opening district road. After dusting myself off and nursing my shoulder a bit I eventually managed to continue with the remaining 80kms, albeit a bit slowly and painfully. Day 2 could not start as I was too sore. Day 3 was awesome and I had a good solid ride. Anyway went to doctor today and had xrays, shoulder is fractured in 4 places with one being a dislocated fracture. Oh well going in for an operation on Wednesday, a plate, a hook and a few screws with 6 to 8 weeks before I can get on a bike again - bummer!
