  1. Hi all, just would like some advice on new bike carrier. about to get a new bmw 1 series and the tow bar on these cars is definately not the same as the one on my car now, as with my current one i took off the tow hitch and bolted the carrier to the bar - with the bmw it doesn't have that attachment - its just the hitch - so what type of carrier am i going to be looking for for this car?? thanks
  2. maybe just my opinion - but i find it (the bb at least) to be really stiff - which i thought would ease up a bit after a while - but a couple of thousand KM later and still the same - so im sick of it and want to get rid of it - it like riding carrying an extra 10 - 15 KG on the bike
  3. Hi all, i am currently riding on an utegra crank (normal one not compact) with ultegra BB - to be honest i have not really enjoyed it very much so i am wanting to change it out - and would love some opinions on what you guys think are really good cranks and BB - and im looking for a normal crank size again nopt a compact - thanks
  4. just wanted to know if anyone has anodized any of their components/parts of their bikes - and if so - do you have a pic? - and how much did it cost you (i think it looks really schweet and want to compare what it would cost to by anodized parts made by certain companies - compared to anodizing the parts that you already have on the bike)??
  5. got terrible cramps with my LG ergo air carbon shoes - replaced them now with the 2009 specialized pro carbon road shoe and loving it - no issues
  6. thanks guys - appreciate all the replies - think im happy on my normal crankset - although with regard to the comment about no climbs - i know my godfather once on a ride in mpumalanga somewhere (not in the best shape of his life) made a remark worth mentioning - on finally catching up at the top of a hill he vehemently declared that "hes never been on so many bloody uphills just to get downhill" - i suppose its each man for his own - i imagine he now rides a compact crank - thanks guys
  7. at the risk of sounding like a complete newbie - even though im not (just live in a small town where nothing new ever happens) - please can someone explain the difference between a compact and a normal crank - and why the compact cranks seem SO very popular??? thanks i appreciate your time
  8. this is my steel peugeot that i ride when im in JHB - was my first bike - so i rather like it http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii122/Beetle_juice_photos/DSCN0031.jpg
