  1. I have taken the saddle for a light 30km test ride, and in that short time I can feel it is providing support in all the right places. The important thing is for the saddle to be supporting your seat bones, and not your sensitive areas. The saddle has a really minimal profile, so you won't find it rubbing on your inner thigh causing unwanted chafe. With the combined padding of my shorts the saddle is really comfy and flexible. I will be doing a 100km training ride on Saturday, and a 110km race near the end of the month - will provide more feedback then. P.s. I weigh 70kgs, and I have a slim build.
  2. I just recently purchased the Fabric Scoop Race (flat) version with Ti rails. Fitted it yesterday, and testing it this evening - so I will give you feedback in the morning. Try Chris willemse online store.
  3. On your Chain Reaction's account page (once you've logged in) you should be able to click on the order number - then it will give you more details on your parcel tracking number etc. stick that tracking number into the 17track website as above, and you should see it. Yes, I used the cheapest option - went with Parcelforce. Google Cape Mail Hub, or try these numbers: Customs on 021 590-5716 / 5728 / 5488
  4. So, I finally managed to get through to the Cape Mail Hub on the phone yesterday. I was told to come collect the parcel in Goodwood, and told to bring along the invoice as I would still need to pay for the VAT, which is normal. This morning I received a phone call from them (021 590 5716) stating that they were going to deliver the goods to the business address I specified on the Chain Reaction website - and I could pay the driver the outstanding VAT - no extra delivery cost it seems! Awesome! Timeline of events: • 03/02/15: Placed my order on the Chain Reaction website & used the "Standard Delivery" option (paid 6.50 pounds, dispatched with Parcelforce.) • 08/02/15: Order arrived at the JHB INT Mail Centre. • 11/02/15: Arrived at Cape Mail Hub. • 12/02/15: Being delivered to my business address, pay the VAT on arrival. Hope this helps - also, check out this awesome website for tracking just about any registered / courier parcels: https://www.17track.net/en/
  5. Thank you for your response, I have contacted the JHB Int mail centre...let's see what they say.
  6. I used the "standard delivery" method, and parcel was dispatched with Parcelforce. Are they going to deliver the order to the street address I specified or are they going to deliver to a post office? Not sure if the standard fee / Parcelforce is a door-to-door courier service or not?
  7. I second that, frame and specs look decent - but I can't find a review either. Anyone out there given one of these a ride?
  8. @Omega Man - thanks, I went to go check the jumps in Pinehurst rd. It seems they haven't been used in a while and need a bit of attention, which is fine, I don't mind grabbing a spade and reworking them. The only question is whether there was a legal reason why they were abandoned? It would be nice to know if I am free to build there. Perhaps you know who the builder was? @cpt armpies mayhem - Trail 'n Tar are having a day down at the jumps in Sun Valley, I will go check it out then. I will go lend a hand at Tokai asap.
  9. Thanks for the posts. I am just looking for a small place to practice getting some air, mainly to incorporate the skill into a technical single track ride. You can have such fun at places like Jonkershoek if you can incorporate all the little jumps into your run. I don't plan on hitting the big stuff anytime soon, if at all actually. Thanks, I might go check out the track in Sun Valley. I think the one thing everyone can agree on is respect. Respecting the trails & builders etc. Does anyone know how I can get involved in helping to build the trails in Tokai? Who manages them? I would like to help out. It's amazing to go out for a ride, and everyone that passes greets you or asks you if you need any help when you're stopped. Friendly. Now that's a cool sport to be a part of, let's keep it like that.
  10. Hi all, Thanks for the advise on all the spots in and around CT. Checked out the jumps in Soetvlei Avenue - definitely not for beginners. Going to go check out UCT sometime soon. Pity to hear about Southern Cross jumps, will try find out the story there. Might build one or two small jumps close to home just to mess around on, somewhere I won't be bothering anyone.
  11. Hi all, Can anyone tell me where I can find some tracks that I can practice my jumping on in the Southern Suburbs? I ride the single tracks @ Tokai and Jonkershoek etc, but I'm looking for something in the suburbs of Diep River / Constantia / Plumstead where I can practice for a couple of hours after work. Thanks
