  1. Long for you most defenitaly. The short routes are as mentioned in previous replies for beginner/fun riders, with a podium to stimulate the children to keep training and move on to the serious distance. What pi..es me of though is the "grown-up" adults with 100k plus bikes keep on entering the short distance, taking a "very proud" podium time and again and so robbing the children of their well deserved podium positions.
  2. Why do we "need" 5 sub provinces for Gauteng anyway if non of them performs. What does a podium of a sub province of a province of a country actually mean, we might just as well have a "champion" for every suburb of every town in RSA. What does it cost the cyclist to keep the 5 subs running instead of one REAL province. Gauteng had about half a million Rand stolen from them a couple of years back, how is it possible that they even had so much money that was obviously supposed to promote cycling. Looks like they only worrie about the end of year parties. Is it right to pay a sub province secretary (with an other full time job) R5-6000 a month to organise one meeting a month, and then does not even care to respond to all this dissatisfaction of the very cyclist that supplies the finances? Why not get one Gauteng province with people that really want to be there, promoting cycling, then at least a champ would be a Champ again and more money would be available for cycling instead of keeping all the subs alive and partying.
  3. On the PASA website http://www.pasa.org....ide_credit.html I got the following information: May a merchant charge me an additional amount when I choose to pay with my credit card? No, a merchant may not “penalise” (generally known as a surcharge in the industry) you for using a credit card for a purchase transaction. The amount charged should match the displayed or advertised price. The merchant may, however, offer a discount off the displayed price for cash transactions. Stil holding on to your "MAYBE for future events bla, bla, bla" Or just passing the bucket to the organisers?
  4. Dear Christo After all these complaints, the best you can come up with is "MAYBE for future events bla bla bla". Not very customer orientated is it?
  5. Solis, you very obvious are a member of the championchip organisation, you did not enter the Kremetart or the Carousel but timed them!! Fact is: the carousel was advertised in YOUR email (is the R5300.00 email fee an other hubber mentioned you charge the organiser true?) and when you are done with entering and come to the paying part the surcharge and admin fee are added. So much for "tranparency" The Sondela Bela Bela apparently choose to include these cost in the entree fee, because it was not added after entering. Would be interesting to get some reply from the organisers of the Bela Bela how this option worked out for them, because as championchip is known for their greed you must have ripped them off in a different way.
  6. I wanted to enter the Carousel road race on the championchip website. It is advertised as R220,- for the 110km, but after completing the process I discovered that 4,5% is added as a card surcharge and a R7,50 admin fee. Is this the new way of lifting the fee? is this card surcharge legal? What do you people think of this new way of making races even more expensive than they already are?
