Its probably just because of the last race where virtually everyone got lost, including the lead motorbike. I think if you email everyone on your list and let them know how much you have learnt from the last experience and let everyone know how much markings have perhaps improved, that might go a long way... The route itself was very pretty and I would do it again, but other commitments on this weekend. Good luck, appreciate all local races in the area..

MC told the 40kers that the finish line was the Red Flags, just before the turn off, so I got off and walked...... Only to realize that I added on an extra couple of minutes to my time

Zero points to the MC this morning, who specifically told all the 40k racers that the finish Line was at the red flags, so as not to interrupt the longer races coming in from the opposite side. first ever road race, sprinted to the finish line, then promptly got off, checked my time on my watch and slowly started walking towards the main finish line. Only to find out that the timing mat was at real finish line. Hubby had to shout at me to move it and get across. Not impressed.
