  2. Event Name: Kamberg Classic When: 4 September 2016 Where: Glengarry Kamberg, Kwazulu-Natal Category: MTB The Kamberg Classic has earned a reputation as one of the best races on the calendar. It is a 65km mix of jeep track, farm roads, forest trail and about 20km of sublime single track. But what makes this ride really special is that it brings the mountains back into mountain biking. From the top of the Kamberg the views over the Drakensberg and the descents are spectacular. Country Life found the Kamberg to be one of SA’s top 10 mountain biking destinations and races like joBerg2C have put this valley on MTB map. 2015 race winner, Andrew Hill said that “this track rivalled many that he has done before for flow and enjoyment”. You seriously have to explore this valley! The Kamberg Classic is scheduled for the first weekend in September, 2 weeks before Hill2Hill and a month before Berg&Bush, making it an ideal training ride. Marking is traditional signage and GPS. The Kamberg Classic is hosted at Glengarry Holiday Farm, an awesome venue 1 hour from Pmb, 2 hours from Durban, 4 hours from Jhb and a thousand miles from care! If you would like to bring your family along and make a weekend of it then accommodation at Glengarry is in cosy self-catering cottages or camping – www.glengarry.co.za. On Race day the Glengarry Pub and Garden Café will be open selling burgers and great cappuccinos! There is also a 5km Kids adventure run/ride. All riders will receive a complimentary burger. Plus, the first 100 entrants of the 65km will receive a Kamberg Classic Peak. Thanks to our Principal Partner Brian Robert’s Agencies (BRA), there are cash prizes to be won in each category. And thanks to our product partners Cadence, Nature Zone, Jowett’s Cycles and Race Food there are some great give-a-ways and lucky draw prizes. Go to Event Page
