  3. Velo / Gary Rabie Well gentleman there is no need to wonder what happened to me (GESHOO), a slogan i wore on my racing pants, thats right Troy Irving. Looking back at those days and one word comes to mind awesome, i was part of the hutchs team with michael fikkert ect and then went onto the US to join up with Hutch racing USA. Hutch went bellyup and i was picked up by MCS Racing, did very well - #1 20' and #2 cruiser in the state of florida. 9 and 11 the same year for nationals. in that time i had a few sa riders come over for the worlds in orlando florida. i returned to SA in 88 after 4 years abroad. I then started riding mountain bikes, joined up with the late Matthew kimble for fun rides and the odd race, till his sudden passing. the picture posted is not mathew kimble he went to Glen High Pretoria. During 90 i joined the SAPS stationed at an elite unit till 2000, spending most of the time traveling within and outside SA, then moved to the private sector till 2005 applying the same trade as in the SAPS,and returned to a parastatill (SARS). Its great to hear people still talk about the bmx error from the late 70's to the 90's Well guys keep in touch, hope to hear from all the BMX folks from back then, oh to gary rabie hope you remember me.
