  1. Slightly off topic re eps vs Di2 When/if anybody out there buys Dura ace 9070 and soon the new ultegra di2 and you opt for the internal battery SM BTR2 and cabling, don't go for the internal cabling kit, the internal cabling kit comes with the mount for an external battery, so you pay close to R3000 for 4 cables and the SM JC 41junction box. Rather buy cables individually (you will need 4) lengths depend on your frame and the junction box that's it. Will save you around a R1000 I upgraded my triathlon bike from mechanical. dura ace 9070 11 speed di2 only has a single button bar end shifters that only operate the rear dérailleur. A bit pointless in the whole spirit of di2 methinks. Get the SW r 671 shifters 2 buttons on each for front and rear shifting. I don't know how di2 works yet as I was supplied with the single button shifters and when opening the packaging box a big note appeared that stated that these items are prototypes and should be destroyed after photography session. Contacted shimano dealers here and I was told that those should never have been supplied to the retailer. They will order another set and exchange. Three months down the line I am still waiting. Shimano dealers here are passing the buck to the local bike shop and the local bike shop blames the supplier. This gave me time to dig around In SA they list the price for the single shifters as the same as the double button shifters. In Europe there is a substantial price difference between the two with the double buttons about R1000 cheaper. Last week I ordered the double buttons from bike-discount.de and they were with me within 5 days. Will fit and ride soon. Bike-discount.de and bike24.com are rather cheaper than anybody here and they have stock. di2 is also easy to install, if you can turn a torque wrench ....Bob's your uncle.
