Any reviews on the Trek Cali 29er as a starting bike?

Hey there... I am wanting to buy a MTB but actually have no idea what I should be looking for as I am new to all of this... Any suggestions on a beginner MTB for ladies - budget 5k to 7k? I am 168cm tall and assume I will need a small frame... Thanks for all the help.
